Magazine Genre Selection

These past few weeks have been fun trying to photoshoot for my blog. Since capturing elements that flow with a frame is one of my favorite things to do, I really just always have time to snap a quick picture where ever I go, when i'm out with friends and capturing their outfits (fashion) and when I'm surrounded by architecture (Cityscapes). I have been getting more informed on these genres by investigating my favorite artists outfits and how the proportions are being used. For Cityscapes i have been looking at pictures from street photographers such as one of my friends that live in New York.

Genre I Chose: Fashion

I am more surrounded and familiar with fashion since it is one of the hobbies I enjoy doing. Picking out my outfit from the pile of clothes I got is enjoyable for me since it is one of the ways I can communicate with people with certain tastes. Most of my friends have a good fashion sense so taking pictures should not be complicated as because I can connect a scenario with their outfit in seconds. Outdoors or indoors, an outfit can match it in an abstract or concrete way.

My magazine will stand out from other different magazines by the fact that my pictures will be more organic and the way I decorate and format my magazine will be conjoined with how I edit my videos, which is another one of my hobbies.

In the subject of social groups, my magazine will represent people from all types of ages and their unique thought process on how they planned out their outfit. It will be a neutral representation overall.
